When the 2010 U.S. Census was taken, the population of Ft. Bend County was 585,385. The county’s population was 58.3 percent white, 21.5 black, and 24.2 percent of the county consisted of people of Hispanic origin. There were 177,980 households, and the homeownership rate was 80 percent. As the wealthiest county in Texas, the median household income was $82,571.
