Choosing a larger system based on the belief that “bigger is always better” will result in the unit continuously cycling on and off. This increases the humidity in your home and makes it feel uncomfortable.

Your Thermostat’s Location Is Unimportant

If your home’s thermostat is in an area that consistently experiences fluctuating or extreme temperature changes, then your HVAC system will cycle off and on frequently, keeping your home at less-than-desirable temperatures. Change the Air Filter Once a Year

A clogged air filter may cause your system to become overworked as it tries to force air through a dirty air filter. During seasons when your system is in frequent use, check the air filter every three months and replace it whenever necessary.
