3 Devices for Making Your Home More Comfortable

Many efficient devices are available to help you keep your Oyster Creek, Texas, home healthy and relaxing. The right upgrades can even increase the value of your home along with your indoor air quality. Speak with an experienced HVAC professional to help you add a ductless system, a whole home ventilator, or an air purifier to your home.

Ductless HVAC Systems

A ductless HVAC system has an outdoor unit and one or more indoor units like many other systems. However, air travels through a small conduit instead of ductwork, saving energy and making leaks less likely. Without ductwork to spread pollutants and allergens like dust, dirt, pollen, and mold, you can breathe easier. Ductless systems also prevent drafty or warm areas, and they’re less noisy than conventional heaters and air conditioners.

Whole Home Ventilators

A whole home ventilator gets rid of indoor air pollution, unwanted odors, and high humidity by removing indoor air and replacing it with fresh air. Since most models attach to your ductwork, they can provide ventilation for your entire home. An energy recovery ventilator or ERV works like a heat pump to heat or cool fresh air before it comes into your home. That way, you can save energy and stay comfortable.

Air Purifiers

Air purifiers or air cleaners use filters to remove contaminants from your home, and the best filters can even capture bacteria. They also make cleaning easier by removing dust and dirt in your home’s air before it settles on floors and furniture. Whole home or portable air purifiers are available. The whole home models are more expensive, but they’re more effective and easier to maintain. You can only clean one or two rooms at a time with a smaller portable unit.
